Emily and Mike. What do I say? They were an absolute blast to work with! They knew they wanted a Colorado mountain engagement session so that is exactly what we did! My ideal session! I love being in the mountains. In my opinion, there is nothing in this world that compares to the beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

It was only fitting that we were in the mountains for their session as Mike proposed to Emily while hiking through the mountains with her family searching for a Christmas tree. I think these two have the cutest engagement story… Emily’s sister knew about Mike’s plan and helped orchestrate the whole thing. As they hiked, her sister went ahead of the group and picked out a “less than perfect” tree and excitedly summoned everyone join her with the great find she had made. When they got closer, Emily saw an ornament on the tree that read “Mr. and Mrs. Bogar.” Mike was in the middle of his proposal when Emily’s mother was exclaiming her disbelief that “this” was THE tree. It was then that she looked over and saw the ring and realized what was happening. Apparently they have some great photos of her mom’s reaction when she realized what was happening! Absolutely the best engagement story!

You can see how happy these two make each other. I am so excited for their wedding in Crested Butte this summer!
