HILLSIDE GARDENS WEDDING | WHITNEY & JAMES

Whitney and James were married at the Hillside Gardens in Colorado Springs over the 4th of July weekend; so naturally sparklers and a red, white and blue garter were involved! These two hold a special place in my heart. When I first met with them to discuss photographing their wedding they told me the story of how they met. To say that sometimes a friend knows you better than you know yourself is an understatement for Whitney. Her friend Aly was the orchestrator of Whitney and James meeting. Whitney explained that she was living on a different side of the country when Aly called and told her to move to Colorado Springs because she had met Whitney’s future husband. Low and behold, she really had. Whitney, being the spontaneous spirit she is, moved to Colorado Springs and the rest is history as they say.

I love hearing how my couples meet and even more, love hearing crazy stories of fate. After getting to know Whitney and James, they are truly meant to me. They complement each other in every way possible and were an absolute joy to work with. Their families and friends couldn’t have been more kind or gracious and made the day even more beautiful with their presence.

James and Whitney had a beautiful summer day in Colorado. With mountains as a backdrop for their ceremony and gorgeous pathways through the garden, these two couldn’t have picked a better spot for their wedding. Congratulations Whitney and James!
