Kleffner Ranch Wedding Helena, MT | Lyndsie & Zach

Zach and Lyndsie had their wedding at the Kleffner Ranch in Helena, MT. The signature big red barn is one of Helena’s landmarks and definitely a known wedding venue to most Helena residents. But it’s my goal to always capture each day differently than any other photographer has done in the past. I was fortunate enough to have Zach and Lyndsie request that we place as much emphasis on Montana’s beautiful landscape as possible so we did just that! And I have to say, after living away from Montana myself, as they do now, and missing it’s never-ending vistas, I can understand why they wanted as much of that captured during their wedding as possible.

I graduated high school with Zach and played on the same varsity tennis team as well. So when he and Lyndsie contacted me to photograph their wedding, I could not have been more honored. It’s always so meaningful to document a wedding day, but even more-so when you have a personal connection to the couple.

This particular day in June could not have been more perfect. It was amazingly beautiful with 70 degree temps, beautiful cloud cover and lush greenery from all of the rain we’ve had this year. When I walked into the historic red barn, I was stunned. All of the details looked so amazing with the stand-out centerpiece “The Lubeks” brightly lit and creating the most amazing vibe for a great party. Be sure to scroll to the end to see it! Lyndsie’s dad MADE their sign AND the archway that they stood under for their ceremony. I love when couple’s have certain very personal elements to their day… it makes it that much more special to them when they look back on their photos.
