Sam and Jeff decided on a luxury elopement at the Ranch at Rock Creek Ranch in Phillipsburg, Montana. They exchanged their vows with Sam’s parents present and the couple’s family and friends virtually attending on Zoom. Since they were married during the height of the Covid pandemic, their Rabi also performed their ceremony virtually.
It was a beautiful ceremony overlooking the mountains. If you are considering eloping in Montana, here are a few tips worth considering:
- Pick a Place that Means Something to You or is a Place You’ve Always Wanted to Visit
When choosing your location, the more memorable you can make it the better! If you’ve been to Montana before, choosing a spot where you’ve already made memories can make your wedding day feel that much more comfortable and special. If you haven’t been here before, choose a destination spot that you’d want to visit again on an anniversary. The Ranch at Rock Creek Ranch is a luxury resort-like experience that caters to small gatherings.
- Keep it Simple
One of the great things about eloping is that you can keep the day as simple or as complicated as you want. Sam and Jeff wanted a small, intimate ceremony with just their closest family. This made it so easy to coordinate other activities and meals with their family. If you’re planning an elopement, think about what kind of atmosphere you want and who you want to invite.
- Hire a Professional Photographer
Even though you’re planning a small event, you’ll only do it once and you’ll never regret having the memories to look back on! Oftentimes smaller elopements allow you to invest in some of the other aspects of your day that you might not otherwise be able to do if you were having 200+ guests. Not only do you want to have your moments captured, you’ll want Montana’s beauty captured as well so that you can display your memories as art pieces at home!
