I had the pleasure of photographing Jane and John’s summer wedding at the Sage Lodge in Pray, Montana. The lodge is located in the middle of paradise valley surrounded by jaw-dropping mountains and the Yellowstone River nearby. The couple took full advantage of the natural setting for their ceremony and reception. Here are some of my favorite photos from the day!
Couple’s that have their wedding at the Sage Lodge are truly spoiled with the beauty of Montana and the amenities of the resort. I highly recommend renting out their ranch houses for your bridal party to get ready in and having all of your guests stay on-site if you’re able. Start planning early as the lodge books quickly!
Jane and John had family travel in from all over to celebrate the occasion with them. The ceremony took place in the field adjacent to the ranch houses with Emigrant peak rising as the focal point of the backdrop. It was a simple but moving ceremony, and you could feel the love between Jane and John as they exchanged their vows.
The reception was held in the events building of Sage Lodge. The decor was simple but elegant, with an emphasis on a soft color palette with large floral centerpieces.
Jane and John’s summer wedding at Sage Lodge was an absolutely beautiful event to photograph! Their sunset session was to die for. The light was dreamy and absolutely perfect. I loved being able to capture all the special moments from their big day, from the first look to the last dance. If you’re planning a summer wedding in Montana, I highly recommend considering Sage Lodge as your venue—you won’t be disappointed! Read more about weddings in the Livingston area here.
