I absolutely adore the aesthetic of film. I love it’s soft, airy feel while it also maintains very vibrant colors and creamy skin tones. Although I typically shoot a small portion of the wedding day on film, I’m primarily a digital photographer that works hard to emulate film in my post processing.
I attended this exclusive film workshop in Colorado hosted by Carrie King and it was amazing! I learned so much more about working with film and shot 90% of my images on my 35mm camera. I am in LOVE with the quality of the images. I love the grain of 35mm film and it’s organic and natural characteristics. In the upcoming wedding season, I will be incorporating even more film into my workflow to become more of a hybrid photographer.
The workshop was held at Wild Canyon Ranch just outside of Lake George, CO. No detail was overlooked by Carrie and the amazing team of vendors who brought the two day workshop together. Below are many of my favorite film images.
